Now to convert a flat colorful logo sort of a thing into a transparent ping which will be one color and something that you might wanna use over a background so you gotta remove the box, boundary, color everything, or the effect on or behind it.

Step 1:

The first thing you gotta do is get rid of the background by selecting ‘W’ or the ‘wand tool’. Select the background, assuming say white and hold down shift and also select if there is any other color in the background and then you got to invert your selection by the command ‘shift I’ or select inverse and then you gotta find the mask icon to convert it into just a one-color picture, let’s say black it being versatile just for further approach.

Step 2:

Then let’s say if you want to turn it into white then you gotta do a color overlay from your layer style panel icon, go to color overlay and select it or you can go to the toolbar, select layer then layer style from the drop-down lists respectively, go-to color overlay then and then a dialogue box will appear with all the colors and you select whatever you want to convert it into, here let’s say white so you gotta select white and then you will have a one-color white logo.

Step 3:

Now if you had the same thing in vector it would have been much easier by being able to select the colors independently or sometimes you can find famous logos or popular logos on brands of the world and find a vector there and in this case, you were provided a flat logo.

Step 4:

This would be your best option for converting into a transparent panel. You wanted to optimize the space on the logo, even more, you could have gone to the image, under that select trim, and trim away the extra pixels according to your choice and you’re good to go.

Step 5:

Now if you want to do the same task with the background and not the image itself, then all you gotta do is,
Firstly make sure that the layer you are working with is not locked, and if it is you just gotta click on the right side where you see the option and hence it will be unlocked.

Step 6:

Now, you just gotta use the magic wand tool to select the background so you just gotta use the magic wand tool on the right side of the screen.

You just gotta click on the background then all you have to do is click delete, on the keyboard and that’s it, the background image will be removed and you’re good to go.
