Export Safari Passwords To Chrome In Mac OS X

Basically, Safari is an iOS-based platform program that only runs on iOS platforms such as Mac OS, iPhone etc. But Google Chrome is a multi-platform program that runs on both iOS and Windows. Because of this chrome allows its users to import or export passwords, bookmakers and saved data from one PC to another.

Export Keychain Safari Passwords To Chrome

If you want to export Safari Keychain items like passwords, bookmarks and much more you can do it. Using the below-given step-by-step guides. Just follow the steps for exporting a keychain password.

Step 1:

Open “Keychain Access located” in the utility folder in the Applications folder.

Step 2:

Now, select the items like passwords, bookmarks, data you want to export in the keychain access window.

Step 3:

Choose File > Export Items.

 If the Export Items menu is grayed, then In this case, the items that you’ve  selected cannot be exported.

Step 4:

“Select the location to save your keychain item “, and then “choose a file type from the File Format” pop-up menus such as HTML or CCV format.

Step 5:

In the last step, Enter a password. The password is required to access the exported keychain items from another system.

Importing Keychain Items To After Exporting

Step 1:

Now first of all open Keychain Access located in the Utility folder.

Step 2:

After the first step, Go to Choose >Import.

Step 3:

Select the “Keychain items file you want to import” > “choose the keychain you want the imported items” added to from the Destination Keychain menu, and then hit the Open button.
