Enable IP Routing In Windows 7

Sometimes you’ve travelled through your network to another network to determine the path of data follows. In technical language, the data is routed from its source to its destination through lots of routers across multiple internet networks with the help of data digits routing numbers.

Basically, IP routing was used to bounce the IP address or the network through routers that enable help to build the forwarding path through different protocols. The final destination where the network ended is called the hop address.

How To Enable IP Routing In Windows

In Windows, IP Routing comes as pre-installed but it does not work without the computer user’s permission. So you’ve to enable IP routing on your computer system. There are if steps that you’ve to take to enable this program.

Step 1 : 

Open Command Prompt through Start Menu

Step 2 : 

In the Command box type “Regedit” and press Enter button to open Registry Editor.

Step 3 : 

In next window Registry Editor was pop up on screen. Now  you’ve navigate to the  “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE” > SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet >Services> Tcpip >Parameters > IP Enable Router (shown in screenshot)

Step 4: 

When finally locate the IP Router files. Right Click on it and select Modify and change value  0 to 1.

Step 5 :

Open Run (Windows Key + R). In it type ‘Services.msc’ and press enter button

Step 6 : 

Scroll down and locate the Routing and Remote Access file. Click to open it and. Under the generals tab, go to the Start Up where you see the disabled change it to Automatic.
